An £838 million (4 billion Saudi riyals) series of technological initiatives sponsored by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP) was unveiled at a ceremony in August organised by Legends PR and Communications agency.

During the Riyadh event, leading technological companies including Google, Amazon, IBM, Cisco, Oracle, and Microsoft announced that they were joining forces with the kingdom to create training centres and programmes as well as innovation hubs for technological startups.

SAFCSP envisions that one out of every 100 Saudis will be a programmer by 2030 as part of its aim to make Saudi Arabia a leading global technological hub. Seizing the opportunities of the technological world is one of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, designed to diversify the country’s oil-based economy.

The media coverage provided by Legends and its team, which is adept at editing, photography, and filming, included live transmission via SAFCSP’s social media accounts on YouTube and Twitter. The agency also managed the PR, inviting major media to the event and monitoring the subsequent engagement rate.
